Timothy Morris Richardson is an American cinematographer. Born in Florida, he is the youngest of two siblings. He was raised by a single mother who instilled in him ambition and a relentless work ethic at a young age.
Timothy was inspired to pursue cinematography after he watched the film Moonlight. He went on to attend Georgia State University where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Digital Communication. During his time studying at the University, Timothy was one of five cinematographers chosen to attend a private screening of the film If Beale Street Could Talk and meet cinematographer James Laxton ASC. After graduation, he started his career in Atlanta, Georgia by shooting independent projects.
Timothy now travels nationwide, shooting documentaries, narrative films, and music videos. His work can be described as dynamic, expressive, and intimate. Timothy's work has been screened in domestic and international film festivals earning him cinematography accolades for his bold optical style and visual language.
